Cartels by definition are designed to limit completion to information or services, some times organizational network works the same.  Some organizational networks limit employees' promotional opportunities if they do not participate in networking events. Today’s networking involves electronic resumes and social media. Linkedin is an excellent way to create a multimedia resume and build a professional network.
