Cliques promote exclusion, backstabbing rumor-mongering and bulling both covertly and overtly. A recent survey indicated that 43% of employees report that they work in a cliquish workplace. The cost of cliques in the workplace can not be ignored, wither its the cost of training of employees that leave due to the hostel work environment or health issues that come up due to stress.
